【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulindistinguishingbetweenthepotentiallyavailablefreecyanide(totalcyanide)andthefreecyanideactuallypresent.Thistestmethodprovidesaconvenienttechniqueformakingon-sitefreecyanidedeterminations.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoffreecyanidesinwatersandwastewaters.Freecyanideisheredefinedasthecyanidewhichdiffusesascyanide(HCN),atroomtemperature,fromasolutionatpH6.1.2Thistestmethoddoesnotincludecomplexesthatresistdissociation,suchashexacyanoferratesandgoldcyanide,nordoesitincludethiocyanateandcyanohydrin.1.3Thistestmethodmaybeappliedtowaterandwastewatersamplescontainingfreecyanidefrom10to150956;g/L.Greaterconcentrationsmaybedeterminedbyappropriatedilution.1.4ThistestmethodhasbeenfullyvalidatedbycollaborativetestingasspecifiedbyPracticeD2777.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,see8.6,8.9,Section9,and12.2.1.
