【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsfordesignandconstructionofelectroformedsieves.Thesesievesareusedtoperformparticle-sizedistributionanalysisandinpreparingnarrowlydesignatedparticle-sizefractions.Theymayalsobeusedasreferencestandardswhensuitablycalibrated.AmethodofcalibratingthesesievesisincludedinAnnexA1.Note18212;CompleteinstructionsandproceduresontheuseandcalibrationoftestingsievesarecontainedinASTMManual32.ThispublicationalsocontainsalistofallpublishedASTMStandardsonsieveanalysisproceduresforspecificmaterialsorindustries.1.2Thesieveanalysisresultsfromtwotestingsievesofthesamesievedesignationmaynotbethesamebecauseofthevariancesinsieveopeningpermittedbythisspecification.Tominimizethedifferencesinsieveanalysisresults,theuseoftestingsievesmatchedonaperformancebasisissuggested.Note28212;Forothertypesofsieves,seeSpecificationsE11andE323.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsshallbeconsideredstandardforthedimensionsoftheelectroformedmeshopeningsandthesizeofthewiresintheelectroformedmesh.Thevaluesstatedininchunitsshallbeconsideredstandardwithregardtothesieveframes.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
