【摘要】:Thisstandardgivesamethodfordeterminingcharacteristicvaluesofmechanicalpropertiesanddensity,fordefinedpopulationsoftimberofvisualand/ormechanicalstrengthgrades.Amethodisalsogivenforcheckingthestrengthofatimbersampleagainstitsdesignatedvalue.ThevaluesdeterminedinaccordancewiththisstandardformechanicalpropertiesanddensityaresuitableforassigninggradesandspeciestothestrengthclassesofEN338.NOTEForassigninggradesandspeciestothestrengthclassesinEN338onlythreecharacteristicvalues,i.e.bendingstrength,meanmodulusofelasticityparalleltograinanddensityneedtobedetermined,otherpropertiesmaybetakenfromthetableinEN338.
