【摘要】:BS6450specifiesrequirementsforprivatebranchexchanges(PBXs)thatarenecessaryforcorrectinterworkingwithpublicswitchedtelephonenetworks(PSTNs)runbycertainpublictelecommunicationsoperators(PTOs).ThisSectionofBS6450specifiesrequirementsattheconnectionpoint(seeclause7ofBS6450:Part1:1993)fordirectdiallingin(DDI)onPBXsconnectedattheuser'spremisesdirectlyorviaoneormorepiecesofotherapparatusorwiringtothe2-wirepresentedDDIanalogueinterfaceofaPSTNandwheretheterminatingstationsandtheircablingaretreatedwiththePBXasanentirety.ThisSectionofBS6450appliestoPBXswiththeirterminatingstationsthatareinstalledonasinglesetofpremises.ThisSectionofBS6450specifiesrequirementsthatapplyintheeventofamajorequipmentfailure(MEF)ofthePBXexceptthatrequirementsforDDIexchangelinesswitchedbythePBXtoaportfortheconnectionofexternalequipmenttobeusedunderMEFconditions,remainunderconsideration.ThisSectionofBS6450doesnotofitselfspecifythecompleterequirementsforaparticularPBXinstallationandneedstobereadinconjunctionwithBS6450:Part1:1993andBS6450:Part2:1993(seeclause5ofthisSectionofBS6450)and,asappropriate,BS6450:Section5.1:1993,BS6450:Section6.1:1993andBS6450:Part7:1990.ThisSectionofBS6450doesnotatpresentspecifytherequirementsforPSTNtoPSTNconnection.RequirementsforportsonthePBXtowhichexchangelines,privatecircuits,privatelinks,orothervoiceordataterminatingstationsareconnected,orforfacilities,arenotspecifiedinthisSectionofBS6450.NOTE1.WherereferenceismadeinthisSectionofBS6450toaparticularclauseinanotherpublication,therequirementsareapplicableirrespectiveofthescopeofthatpublication.Anyclausesofanotherpublicationnotspecificallyinvokeddonotapply.NOTE2.Unlessotherwisestated,allclausereferencesrefertothisSectionofBS6450.NOTE3.BackgroundinformationisprovidedinannexAontheDDIservice,andinannexBonstandbypower.NOTE4.CompliancewiththisSectionofBS6450isintendedtoprovideforsafetyandthepreventionofinterferencewiththePTO'snetworksandotherusers,butcompliancewillnotnecessarilyensurethattheapparatusissatisfactoryfortheuser'spurpose.
