【摘要】:Afterwaterbornetrafficpaintsareappliedtoaroadpavement,itisimportantthattheybesufficientlycoalescedorcuredsotheywillnotberemovedbyrain.Thispracticecanbeusedtodeterminetherelativewaterwash-offresistanceofwaterbornetrafficpaintswhenexposedtoawaterspraysimulatedrain.1.1Anewlyappliedtrafficpaintfilmmaybeexposedtorainofvaryingintensitiesshortlyafterapplication.PracticeD7377describesapracticeforevaluatingthewaterwash-offresistanceoftrafficpaintstoahardrainusingasteadystreamofwaterfromafaucetatarateofapproximately5.7Lpermin.PracticeD7538isasimilarpracticethatdescribestheuseofanadjustablenozzleatomizingspraydevicetodeliverasprayofwaterthatsimulatesrainratesfromapproximately0.05to0.5Lpermin.Thistestcanbeusedtocompareconventionalandfast-drytrafficpaintsfortheirrelativeabilitytowithstandrainsoonafterapplicationonroadwaysurfaces.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
